Sir_Robinand now at local supermarket, and I have to move on very soon... Kinda love IRCing (running irssi inside screen on remote SSH - last one is the thing getting disconnected when I put my phone in pocket for a while)00:00
Sir_Robinbut then, I walk home in 5-10 minutes and get constant charging and connectivity00:02
Sir_Robinbut I have 0.3% charge, so maybe I should logout and let it charge couple minutes before continuing :P00:06
Sir_Robinhome01:31
Sir_Robinanother issue I'm having... not sure if I rechecked after fixing my repos, but last I checked, I couldn't find a package for 'man' (not sure about 'less' either, I hope it's there...)... so is 'man' available, or would I need to port it myself?11:52
KotCzarnymanuals are removed, because of lack of space11:54
KotCzarnyyou can add debian in chroot if you want full fledged distro11:55
Sir_RobinI had to use this shell to check bash manpage yesterday - and it's for much newer version, so some features are trial and error11:55
Sir_RobinKotCzarny: oh yeah, hadn't even thought of that, I actually have 2 or 3 of those debian images installed, LOL11:58
KotCzarnyas for the repos, maemo is tricky and different from debian11:58
KotCzarnybecause apt was discouraged11:58
KotCzarnyi think it was noted on repos page11:59
KotCzarnyso while installing/remove packages should be safe, apt-get upgrade could be funny11:59
Sir_RobinI still think I'll port man - but not the regular... Damn Small Linux actually has man that fetches the manpage from the website if it can't find one installelled... it also didn't format the webpages to text, but instead it formatted the installed ones to HTML, and used Lynx instead of less for viewer12:03
Sir_Robinyeah, I quickly moved to old apt-* commands, because apt just didn't even work for almost anything... no matter, I still remember using debian when apt command simply was not yet12:07
Sir_Robinbtw, are there still community creating new applications and putting them to repos?16:12
KotCzarnyif anything is happening it would be talk.maemo.org16:12
bencohmost of the effort goes to maemo leste these days16:14
KotCzarnywell, he asked about apps16:14
freemangordonwell, leste has apps too :p17:27
freemangordonbut yeah, I doubt anyone does any development for fremantle17:27
freemangordonBTW, I fixed a good number of memory leaks in mafw-tracker-source17:28
freemangordonif anyone want to backport for fremantle, see here https://github.com/maemo-leste/mafw-tracker-source/commits/master17:29
freemangordonall the "fix memory leak" commits, besides https://github.com/maemo-leste/mafw-tracker-source/commit/3ac479cf95de79acc8223e8c166cbccf4bc5a0cb, which was introduced by me :)17:30
bencohfreemangordon: neat :)19:05
