rrq | plasma41: could the preinst be changed to not break installation but rather give warning and install with reduced functionality? | 00:38 |
---|---|---|
rrq | rationale: anything prohibiting installation should be captured in the dependency declarations, so as to avoid entering a "bad, half-installed state". | 00:41 |
plasma41 | rrq: possibly. I'll need to do additional research. | 00:44 |
lpck | Hi! I'm not sure where to discuss this, so I will try here. I just downloaded the "devuan_beowulf_3.1.1_amd64_desktop.iso" from "https://mirror.math.princeton.edu/pub/devuan/devuan_beowulf/installer-iso/". I checked the SHA256 of the ISO, and it did not match the listed sums on that site or any other site. I downloaded fresh again, and it's still wrong. I want to let y'all know something is fishy here, hopefully the ISO isn't tampered | 08:57 |
rrq | hmm I just now downloaded that iso and checked, and it matches the origin (at files.devuan.org) ash well as that SHA256SUMS | 10:02 |
rrq | lpck: ^^^ | 10:05 |
